School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Postgraduate Research Studentships 2006/07by Kieran MurphyThe School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering invites applications for a number of PhD studentships commencing October 2006 for 3 years in the research areas of Integrated Aerospace Technologies, Internal Combustion Engines, Polymers, Design and Manufacture. Studentships normally provide a maintenance grant and cover all approved fees for UK/EU residents.The list of specific PhD project titles and different types of studentship available for 2006/07 are shown in the table below. PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL PROJECTS ADVERTISED WILL BE FUNDED. Applicants should hold or expect to obtain a 2.1 Hons (or equivalent) degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.A new online combined application form for postgraduate admissions and funding can be downloaded from www.qub.ac.uk/postgraduate. Please note that the online application allows you to identify up to 3 preferred project titles from the list of DEL CAST and ESF studentships and you may type in up to 3 preferred research topics for DEL studentships.
